Automated Attendant PBX Routing
Since the VoicePro is also a PBX, you can connect all the phones throughout your office
direct to the extension jacks on the unit. Each phone is assigned a two-digit extension number.
The built in Automated Attendant will guide your callers to the proper extension without the need for a live receptionist.
Custom call routing that can be programmed to your specifications, as well as providing voice mail for unanswered calls, informational announcements, and remote call transfer.
The phone system will answer on the first ring and immediately provide callers with a customized menu of options they can select to route to a specific person or department. Menu options can also include informational messages.
With the VoicePro, you can record a company greeting with a menu of prompts to assist your callers 24 hours a day, telling your caller which keys to press.
With your own recorded custom prompts you can instruct callers to press a 2-digit extension number or press keys that you specify in your custom menu. You can make any menu key ring to a phone extension or play a recorded announcement.
You can also create menu options that route direct to a specific voice mailbox where it plays the personal greeting of that person and then takes a message.
Additional options can route callers to outside phone numbers such as cell phones of remote personnel.
You can also create different company greetings for Day, Night and Weekend.

VoicePro PBX Capabilities
As a full-featured PBX, the VoicePro has jacks on the back, as shown below, for all the phone liens and in-house phones.Each jack is an RJ-11, which means it carries a single phone line. So installation is as easy as running phone wires with modular jacks from the incoming line jacks to the VoicePro and from the VoicePro to each of the phones in your office.
Your in-house phones will be known as extension 10 thru 15 on the VP206 and 10 thru 21 on the VP412.
You can pick up any telephone extension and dial any other extension or outside phone number. You can place calls on hold, transfer from one extension to another, and create three-party conferences. Music-on-Hold is available if you connect your own music source to the music input jack.
Each extension supports regular analog touch-tone telephones and cordless phones. The VoicePro even passes Caller-ID to the extensions (assuming you have Caller-ID service and a phone that displays it). There is a jack on the back for each extension. See the illustrations below. The Central Office (CO) Line jacks connect the unit to the outside world. Up to four incoming lines can be connected to the VoicePro.
The VoicePro can handle up to four outside calls at a time if you have all four CO lines connected. You'll need service from your phone company with one number and rollover to the additional lines. Rollover is what allows multiple callers to call your number and get through. The VoicePro will answer each call and guide them appropriately.
