NARRATIVE

DPR Construction’s office is San Francisco’s first Net Zero Energy office. The challenges in this design included rehabilitating a 24,000SF office building to support NZEB Certification while bringing DPR’s culture and community into the space, and completing it all on a 10-month design and construction schedule.

The space exemplifies what it is that makes DPR’s San Francisco office unique – a deep-rooted connection to its community and the natural environment. Elements such as locally salvaged wood, three living walls, a living wine bar, in-grade planters, two large skylights, Solatubes, and operable windows serve to connect the occupants with elements of the outdoors in addition to supporting the company’s commitment to sustainability.
