NARRATIVE

535 Mission, a new Class A office tower located in the SoMA submarket of San Francisco, was the first office building in San Francisco to achieve a LEED Platinum Core & Shell designation.

Near the Transbay Transit Center, several BART stations, and countless bus lines, the building’s location provides ample opportunity for workers to take public transportation to their office. The building excels in energy efficiency, performing 23% above California energy code by using high efficiency chillers and boilers.

The building has also incorporated a rainwater catchment and reuse system to irrigate 100% of the landscaping on-site with non-potable water. Coupled with a 40% reduction in indoor water use, the building showcases advanced water conservation strategies, which are of critical importance in the midst of California’s drought.
