New VoicePro User Support Group
We have been selling the VoicePro for ten years now, ever since Voice Logic still made them for home office and small businesses who want to have a phone system with all the features that only can be found in larger and more expensive phone systems. But Voice Logic's user manual was terrible and offered no programming examples. When they upgraded their software they never changed the manual to reflect many new features and functionality added to the system.
In an effort to support our customers we wrote our own version of the programming manual. But this was done too late and Voice Logic ended up going out of business due to poor support efforts.
The manufacturing of the VoicePro was later taken over by a company called TCL Communications. They purchased the rights to continue making their own circuit boards for the VP206 and VP412. They decided to continue only these two versions. Voice Logic originally had a third size version known as the VP408. But TCL continued with only the 2-line/6-extension unit and the 4-line/12-extension unit.
Voice Logic brand VoicePro units were sold by resellers with addendum notes included to help their customers understand the errors in the Voice Logic manual. But this was hard to use since customers had to cross reference the addendum with the Voice Logic manual to figure out how to program the unit.
The U.S. Distributor was "American Business Communication" for many years. But last year in October 2011 we completed negotiations with them to take over distribution of imports of the newer VP206 and VP412 units made my TCL Communication. These versions of the VoicePro are fully supported and because of that we are able to extend a full one-year warranty on all the units, including covering prior sales with this same warranty. The warranty protects the customer with a no-questions asked replacement policy if the unit fails for any reason during the first 12 months since purchase.
We are so optimistic about the success of the newer VoicePro that we decided to give all users of these wonderful units the chance to get involved with one another if they chose to do so. Therefore in March of 2011 we developed an online interactive user community where anyone can ask questions. It's known as the "VoicePro Support Group." Generally we will answer all questions posted in an effort to support VoicePro users. But the way we developed this online support group allows anyone to post their own answers to other people's questions. It also lets people add comments to other questions and answers so a discussion thread can continue if necessary.
Users must sign up and verify their email address as a way to avoid spammers. But we will not use those emails for any other purpose. The system will send an automatic email to anyone who posted a question when an answer to his or her question has been posted.
We hope customers and users of the VoicePro use the online Support Group to share their experience of the VoicePro with one another.
